“Industry Edge”, the official news blog of the National Hardware Show, selected InventionHome’s “Caution Clip” as a Top-25 Product of 2013.
The list was narrowed down from more than 100 products, all written about in Industry Edge and made available to the market in 2013. The top 25 products were chosen based on reader popularity—number of page views and social interaction for each article.
The Caution Clip
The Caution Clip is a reusable clip with an attached safety flag that can be secured onto a variety of products that over hang or extend past the back of a vehicle or truck bed. The product was invented by life long friends Keith Nielson, Kevin Vann and Tommy Hills. After setting up a portfolio site for the Caution Clip, InventionHome began to identify companies in their network that would be ideal candidates to license the product. After a little bit of time, the Caution Clip started to garner interest and ultimately, a licensing deal was struck with an innovative, global company.
Shortly after the deal, the Caution Clip received its first purchase order from Lowes for 43,200 units to be shipped to over 1,200 stores. The product is still going strong at Lowe’s and other fine retailer nationwide. You can read all about the Caution Clip success story from a past post→
