In traveling to and from work at the InventionHome offices last week, one couldn’t help but notice the buzz of activity taking place across the street from our humble abode. It was all thanks to the 8th Annual “Stuff-A-Bus” toy drive, a week-long event held by 96.1 KISS (a local Pittsburgh radio station) whose goal it was to stuff as many school buses full of toys as possible for the Marines’ Toys for Tots program.
This year, InventionHome employees started a collection for a massive toy shopping spree that would be donated to the “Stuff-A-Bus” toy drive—a goal that became a reality when our generous InventionHome leadership agreed to match the donations made by employees.
So like kids in a
candy toy store, our team of shoppers raced through the aisles and promptly delivered their shopping carts full of toys to the “Stuff-A-Bus” headquarters. By week’s end, InventionHome and the rest of the Pittsburgh community had filled 28 buses full of toys, all destined for children who would otherwise miss out on the holiday spirit.
